No one’s going to choose you if you don’t.

How often have you ignored yourself when things weren’t going well or were extremely stressful, in your life?

So consumed are you with getting through or to the end of it, you're like "I'll just take care of me after".

Well, if there’s one thing I’ve learnt in my 41 years, it's that you will continue to put off 'taking care of you' until something pops off! And I'm not talking about a champagne cork either!

When things aren't going well, that is exactly when you MUST give more to yourself, be it..

✨ More grace.

✨ More connection.

✨ More love.

✨ More kindness.

✨ More rest.

✨ More nourishment.

It's the thing you're missing that you need the most.

I get that it might be wired into your being, especially if you’re a woman, to push past your limits, beat yourself up, go harder or go home if you want success in your goals, regardless of what’s happening around and within you.

Yet when you crash and burn, you're expected to tough that out too!

Nah bb, I'm not about that life and I'm going to advise, neither should you!

In the midst of things not going well, choose you even more.

There will be times you aren’t in the mood to eat, have a little food anyway so you aren't starving later.

There will be times you’re too tired to cook, do something easy anyway so you don’t skip eating all together.

There will be times you’re in a rush, pause to eat something anyway so you can stay present and productive.

It’s not about doing things you hate, it’s about doing the little things [you know], that serve you best even when you aren’t feeling your best or motivated to do them.

It’s actively choosing yourself and your well-being no matter the circumstance.

Bottomline: no one is going to choose you if you don't choose you.
